An Uncle's Legacy

Ben Kisiki wants to follow in his uncle's footsteps and be a lawyer. His uncle took an interest in Ben from an early age and when he was ready to go to university he asked him to come and live with him and he would pay for his education.

Understanding that we must always be prepared in life, his uncle taught Ben many life skills which would prove invaluable to his future. He taught Ben to cook, manage the household, handle money and basically run a home. These skills became particularly useful when his uncle was suddenly killed in a car accident and Ben was left to fend for himself.

In 2005 after struggling to work and make money to get fees for law school he began working managing a home and later a guest house. Through the work he was introduced to a few people interested in helping him return to school.

He has been able to complete his first year of law school at Uganda Christian University but still has three years to go. In September he will be co-leading a Bible study for young men in Kampala and this summer taught a course pertaining to what the Bible says about examining the condition of your heart. Ben wants to work in the area of international law to impact the future of Uganda. Some friends are standing with him but he could use your help also.
