Good News with Dry Goods

In the beginning Charles Kamau (on the left) was a street vendor in Kisumu in western Kenya along the shores of Lake Victoria. Then a relative helped him finance a move into the successful shop of a friend who moved to Nairobi.

The shop sells basic necessities like cosmetics, soap, detergent, sandals, cooking oil, light bulbs, beverages and juice and shows a consistent profit. Charles is a light in the community and loves his work with the children in AWANA at his local church.

When he moved into this shop he prayed with some of the men that his business would grow and the bar next door would become available so he could expand his retail operation and improve the community. The community around the shop is changing from a slum to a desirable area. People are cleaning up their property and rents are increasing. The location is particularly strategic because it is by a major crossroad in the neighborhood. Charles needs to renovate the shop to reflect excellence and expand his inventory to boost profits. Will you join Charles in prayer and funding for the expansion?
