Emmanuel Babi, Christine Mahoro and Sam Tindimwebwa completed their studies and all have jobs. The Rock is serious about outcomes and breaking the cycle of poverty in Uganda and training young people to be self sustaining. Emmanuel is working as a nurse practitioner at a clinic in Kampala. Christine is a paid part time administrator at her church and also works as a nurse in a clinic. Also Sam proved himself. While doing a Rock launch plan internship he was offered a job at Daks shipping, the Uganda agent for the U.S. company UPS. They have worked hard to finish their education, been participants of the leadership training offered by the Rock and are making a difference.
"The doctor I work with is so wonderful. I just received a raise and I have been able to counsel several young ladies not to abort their babies. It is a real problem because our clinic is very close to Makerere University and I work the night shift," says Emmanuel.
Christine shared "I am happy to have two jobs and things are working out."
Sam tells us "Daks Couriers is fine and I am really working very hard. There is alot of competion for jobs here but praise be to my God for your support and the things I have learnt from the Rock."
God has a plan for these three members of the Rock family and now as they leave the Rock nest they are making a difference and touching many lives. As they are able they will continue to mentor others and have the opportunity to take advantage of the Rock business training programs for those wanting to begin their own family businesses.
